A Different Sort of Trellis

I just saw a wonderful idea on the YouTube channel Self Sufficient Me, in which he makes a different sort of trellis. He angles the trellis so that it leans on the outside of the bed so that he maximizes the space that his trellising crops can grow so that he can grow more vegetables in less space. They would be growing in full sun. The materials needed to make this trellis is a piece of galvanized garden mesh, a t-post, a couple of stakes, and rope or strapping.

The t-post in place in the center of the bed and about 1 foot in. The bottom of the garden mesh rests against the t-post and angles outside the garden bed. It is held in place with the rope or strapping that is attached to the t-posts and the supporting stakes.

You can then plant about eight or so cucumber plants, positioning the plants at the base of the mesh so they could grow up the trellis, at the same time plant the asparagus pee on the other side so that once it got too hot for the cucumbers to grow the asparagus peas would take over.
