Overview
In zone 7, cool-weather vegetables can usually be planted outdoors in early February. These crops include beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, onions, peas, potatoes, radishes, spinach, turnips, kale and collards. 

What does the Windowsill look like in February?
Sweet Bell Peppers, Eggplant, Tomato, Blue Curly Leaf Kale and Red Russian Kale seedlings are growing.

Start plants indoors about six weeks before your last expected frost date.

Eggplants plant indoors 8 to 10 weeks before transplanting into the garden after all danger of frost is past and night temperatures are consistently at or above 65°F.

SOIL TESTING
