Oregon Giant snow pea plants grow up to about three feet tall, start producing early in the season, and continue well into the gardening season. They are very productive with large double pods that are flat, four to five inches long, and sweet. The peas can be used for snap peas when harvested young, or let them mature for green peas. Peas can also be grown as sprouts or microgreens.

The Oregon Giant pea is a bush pea, growing only 36-48 inches tall, and therefore do not need trellising. Sow seeds in the early spring or late summer (July) for a fall crop. In fact, if planted every few weeks, you will have a continuous crop to harvest. Plant seeds an inch deep and 3 inches apart. They should germinate in 7-14 days. The peas pods should be ready to harvest in about 60-65 days and should be picked before the peas inside can be seen protruding from the pod.
